its so hard to take the pulse of Jirai-kei, i wanted to do a bit of snooping around for a character idea i had but i cant tell if the style really is that limited or if the aesthetic and artistic regurgitation of the same three outfits has smothered any genuine posts from those in the scene

#i wanted to like blend some jirai kei elements into a fantasy mage and see where it goes from there #but every look ive seen is so stale #are you all sharing the same dress or what like?#please not that im not trying to police anything just expressing frustration with the phenomenon that boils #styles down into 3-4 recognizable symbols that subsumes the whole #its what happened with goths/punks/hippies and ravers #edit: searching 地雷女 is far more productive but has way more digging and scraping involved #snakes and laders i supose #im gonna let this idea perculate and then lay out a sketch if it takes me
